At Earth on Us, we believe that environmental education should be engaging, interactive, and accessible to everyone. We are excited to introduce the Recycle Right Game Set, a collection of educational games designed to help students and community members learn how to recycle correctly while having fun.

Recycling may seem simple, but many people are unsure which items belong in recycling bins and which do not. Contamination from improperly recycled materials creates challenges for recycling programs and increases costs for communities. The Recycle Right Game Set was created to help learners build confidence in their recycling knowledge through hands-on learning and friendly competition.

The Recycle Right Game Set currently includes two formats:

Recycle Right Board Game

The Recycle Right Board Game provides a hands-on learning experience that encourages players to discuss, sort, and make decisions about common household items. Through gameplay, participants learn which materials belong in recycling, compost, trash, or specialty recycling streams while developing a better understanding of local recycling practices.

A special thank you goes to Mimi for helping design and develop the board game. Her creativity and dedication played an important role in transforming the idea into an engaging educational activity that can be used in classrooms, libraries, youth programs, and community events.

Recycle Right Electronic Game

To make recycling education even more accessible, Earth on Us also developed an electronic version of the game. The electronic format allows students and community members to test their recycling knowledge online and receive immediate feedback as they learn.

We would like to thank Grace Z. for proposing the idea of creating an electronic version of the game. Her suggestion helped expand the reach of the Recycle Right program and made it possible for more learners to participate regardless of location.

Learning Through Action

The Recycle Right Game Set reflects the Earth on Us mission of turning environmental awareness into action. Whether through a board game shared among friends or an electronic game completed online, participants gain practical knowledge that can be applied immediately in their homes, schools, and communities.

We hope these games inspire students not only to recycle correctly, but also to think critically about waste reduction, environmental stewardship, and the role they can play in creating more sustainable communities.

We are grateful to everyone who has contributed ideas, feedback, and support throughout the development of the Recycle Right Game Set. Together, we are helping make environmental education fun, engaging, and impactful for the next generation. ♻️ ??
