We are excited to share some wonderful news!

Earth on Us has been selected by the Lead to Change Team and National 4-H Council as a recipient of a Lead to Change Implementation Grant. This national grant recognizes youth-led projects that empower young people to make a meaningful difference in their communities, and we are honored that Earth on Us was chosen for this opportunity.

Earth on Us was founded with a simple belief: when youth are equipped with knowledge, opportunities, and encouragement, they can become powerful leaders in creating a more sustainable future. From developing the peer-reviewed Earth on Us Actions curriculum to partnering with schools, libraries, and youth organizations, our goal has always been to help students move beyond environmental awareness and take meaningful action.

The Lead to Change Implementation Grant will help Earth on Us expand these efforts by supporting new educational resources, community outreach, and hands-on learning experiences. We look forward to introducing Earth on Us activities to more schools, youth organizations, libraries, and community events, giving even more youth opportunities to learn, lead, and make a positive environmental impact.

This recognition is especially meaningful because the journey of Earth on Us began through the Minnesota Metropolitan Council 4-H Climate Action Project. That experience showed us how important it is to listen to young people’s ideas and empower them to become part of the solution. Receiving support from the National 4-H Council through the Lead to Change program is an exciting next step in continuing that mission.

This accomplishment would not have been possible without the encouragement and support of so many people. We are deeply grateful to the National 4-H Council and the Lead to Change team for believing in our vision. We also thank the University of Minnesota Extension and Minnesota 4-H, our mentors, advisors, educators, volunteers, student leaders, and community partners who have helped Earth on Us grow.

Most importantly, thank you to every student who has participated in Earth on Us. Your curiosity, creativity, and passion continue to inspire us. We are excited to use this opportunity to reach even more young people and empower the next generation of leaders.

This is only the beginning. Together, we can continue turning environmental awareness into action, and inspiring students to create innovative solutions for a more sustainable future! ♻️??
